ASPIRATIONS

I’m actually a little *^.^*
But nevertheless gonna share it with all of you (not like I have any readers anw haha)..

– Instruments I play include concert percussion (timpani, mallet percussion, snare, etc.), innovative percussion (STOMP-style), brazilian percussion, piano, keyboards, accordion, ethnic percussion and traditional English handbells. I teach these instruments in schools in Singapore as well. However, I want to improve on my own musical playing skills rather than just my teaching skills.
– In Singapore, I’m mainly exposed to traditional ethnic folk music; I want to explore other genres such as jazz and perhaps even experimental music.
– I am more a live performer than a studio musician but I would like to session for songs someday.
– I am classically trained but wish to learn and experience from the other talented musicians who might not be by collaborating with them perhaps to create songs.
– I want to learn to sing and compose songs for the instruments that I play.
– I hope to learn how to write, arrange and record good songs. I have interests in writing riffs. But I want to learn how to write better lyrics and melody lines.
– Special interest in playing for musicals. Have done a few musicals before as a multi-percussionist/keyboardist, but I would like to play and probably even sing in more musicals. Not many chances in Singapore. The market is very small and the arts schools in Singapore do not really hold student musical productions.
– Improve on my music production skills. Have not been able to do so since I graduated from Diploma in Music and Audio Technology.
– Would like to work with different people to learn the different styles of production.
– Stage musicals – Learn about the processes.
– Gain more exposure in the overseas market
– Want to learn and experience more about music elsewhere. I have been playing local folk tunes.
– Work with different people

– Better performance etiquette; learn to introduce my songs better.
– Experience the life of living and studying overseas
– Find a place in the industry that suits me best
– Live and bathe in music!
