Crossroads

So last saturday, we had our course concert. It was called “Crossroads”. Bani, Carmen and I were the Emcees.

I think the concert overall was fine. But Michael said many of us like to swap instruments everywhere(versatile) but some dont. Some of us played only what we’re good at like Adam(drums), shaochong(piano) and a few others. =)Those who did the instruments that they were not good at were rather “shaky” with their perf. In conclusion, i think one shld play something that they are confident at. =p

We had lots of fun.

Girls right before the concert

Basically, i did 3 items. 1 with Shao Chong, 4 hands 1 piano. “Grand de Galop” was the song. Drums for “Without You” by Clay Aiken and Kimberly Locke. Bani and Jemie sang, Royston on bass and Ian on piano. I think we did rather alright. We could have improved more if we had practiced more. All of us could not find enough time as most of us had more than 1 grp. Then there was Ryu’s(singer) grp who did “Na Nu Hai Dui Wo Shuo” by Huang Yi Da. I did drums, Bun did bass, Shao Chong did Strings, Jwee Keat did piano and Clef did guitar. I felt that the tempo could have been tighter. We were running all over the place.

Emcee:
This was a tough tough job. We had to talk endlessly while the grps were getting ready. And Bani had to make me more nervous by just saying “ya” and “alright”. ah.. haha. But it’s ALL GOOD. =) It was my first time hosting a show(talking rubbish). haha. I enjoyed it so it’s alright.

And after that, we hung out in town. Shall not elaborate.

This grp is very interesting. I caught them in town. They were playing this really weird rural instrument thing. haha.
