Busy recently

Hey, have not been posting for quite some time.

Anyway, I just did a musical called “Baba Nyonya Mari Go Round”-A Peranakan Musical Revue.

Baba Band – This is the band providing the music for the musical.

This is me @ work. And my setup.
4 timpanis and a bass keyboard.
Had to double up at times. =

Look @ the score. It’s really messy.
Why? Cos as a musical musician, we have to the back the casts and singers and therefore have to take cues fromt he conductor and we cannot screw up cos if we do, the singers will screw up and everything will screw up(it’s a chain effect thing, u knw). Therefore, i HAVE TO WRITE tonnes of stuff cos i dont have photographic memory. haha.

Well, basically, i learnt a lot from this musical.

We’re a “pop” band that backs the singers n dancers on stage.(btw, the band is on stage but behind the props and the main stage.) On the first day of the bump-in and rehearsal, i fell sick! Came down with a fever and a very bad gastric. I missed my MUSP test and did not even have time to see a doctor. Oh my. I learnt to take lots of vitamins and have meals regularly from this “wonderful” experience. =(
