New Sem.

Ok, new semester, old faces, old lecturer…… I mean, same lecturersss..

BUT!!! NEW STUFF for PERF MOD.

Ha. So I was late as usual. Then we did an improvisional short Irish piece. We were separated into a not-so-same-clique-grp, so my grp consists of Ian, Clef, Chrislyn, Yan Xi, Bun, Jwee Keat and myself. We were supposed to come out with ways to improvise the short piece.

This is how it went…

-A x2
-B x2

Then,
-A, 1st time, 1st half, Bun n I sang the melody line. 2nd half, I sang the melody line a Maj 3rd higher. Ian accompanied(chords/rhythm) on guitar.
-A, 2nd time, 1st half, Jwee Keat on Keyboard Strings, took over the melody line. Then Yan Xi joined in playing an interval of a major 3rd, an octave lower. Clef on bass.

-B, 1st time, Clef, Ian, JK and YX continues.
-B, 2nd time, the above continues, with Chrislyn joining in with random improv. notes frm her trumplet.

-When it ended, there was a unexpected twist in the way we potray the piece of music. So I went like, 1, 2, 3, 4 then we played the whole piece( A, B ) once thru at a faster tempo(bpm120?) with me on rhythmic chords.

Yup. So that was my first PERFORMANCE lesson of the Semester. What a GREAT way to begin with. =)
